Full Member, being any person over the age of 20, duly elected to Full Membership who shall be entitled to all rights and privileges of the Club.

Lady Member, being any lady over the age of 20, duly elected to Lady Membership who shall be entitled to all rights and privileges of the Club, except that they may not play golf on Saturday afternoons.

6 Day Member, being any person over the age of 20, duly elected to 6 Day Membership who shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of the Club, except that they may not play golf on a Saturday.

5 Day Member, being any person over the age of 20, duly elected to 5 Day Membership who shall be entitled to all rights and privileges of the Club, except that they may not play golf on a Saturday or Sunday.

5 Day A.M Member, being any person over the age of 20, duly elected to 5 Day A.M Membership who shall be entitled to all rights and privileges of the Club except that  they may only play golf on the morning time sheet from Monday to Friday and excluding public holidays.

Senior Interim Member, being any person over the age of 30 but under the age of 35, duly elected to Senior Interim Membership who shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of the Club.

Interim Member, being any person over the age of 20 but under the age of 30, duly elected to Interim Membership who shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of the Club.

Senior Interim Lady, being any lady over the age of 30 but under the age of 35, duly elected to Senior Interim Lady Membership who shall be entitled to all rights and privileges of the Club.

Interim Lady, being any lady over the age of 20 but under the age of 30, duly elected to Interim Lady Membership who shall be entitled to all rights and privileges of the Club.

Student Member, being any person over the age of 20 but under the age of 30, duly elected to Student Membership who is a fulltime registered student at a university or college. Any person completing articles or housemanship etc, may also be considered for Student Membership on an individual basis by the Committee. Student Members are entitled to full use of all Club facilities but may not play golf on a Saturday except by prior arrangement with Club Management.

Junior Member, being any person under the age of 20, duly elected to Junior Membership who shall be entitled to full use of all the Club facilities but may not play golf on a Saturday except by prior arrangement with Club Management. A Junior Member who has an official handicap of 9 or better may, at the discretion of the

Social Member, being person over the age of 20, duly elected or transferred to Social membership. Social members are entitled to full use of clubhouse to full use of Clubhouse facilities only. This category has no voting rights.

Associate 5 Day Member, being any person over the age of 20 duly elected to this category who has not been a member of another recognised golf club for at least the past two years, and who is introduced to the club through one of the club’s formal affiliations. Members of this category shall convert to another applicable category within two years of becoming an Associate 5 Day Member, failing which membership shall lapse and will be terminated. This category has full use of all club facilities but may not play golf as a member on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday. This category has no voting rights.

Master’s Golf Society Member, being any person who is a paid up member of the Master’s Golf Society, who is not already a member of the club, and who is a member with an official golf handicap at another SAGA affiliated club. Master’s Golf Society members are entitled to all the rights and privileges of the club except that they may not play golf as a member on a Saturday. This category has no voting rights.

Gauteng Senior Member, being any person who is a paid up member of the Gauteng Senior Golfer’s Society, who is not a member of the Club and who is a member of another SAGA affiliated club. Gauteng Senior Members are entitled to all the rights and privileges of the Club except that they may not play golf on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday. This category has no voting rights.

Gauteng Seniors Lady Member, being any lady who is a paid up member of the Gauteng Senior Ladies Golf Society, who is not a member of the club and who is a member of another SALGU affiliated club. Gauteng Senior Lady Members are entitled to all the rights and privileges of the club except that they may play golf on weekday mornings only. This category has no voting rights.

Inanda Member

  • Inanda Member, Class A being any person who is a fully paid-up member of the Inanda Club, who is an affiliated member of the SAGA or the SALGU and who has an official golf handicap. Inanda members are entitled to full use of all club facilities in terms of the normal reciprocity agreement except that they may not play golf on a Saturday. This category has no voting rights.
  • Inanda Member, Class B, being any person who is a fully paid-up member of the Inanda Club, who plays golf but who is not an affiliated member of any other golf club. This category of member will be affiliated to the SAGA or the SALGU through the club and will be handicapped at the club. Inanda members are entitled to full use of all club facilities in terms of the normal reciprocity agreement, except that they may not play golf on a Saturday. This category has no voting rights.

Touring Professional Member, being any person registered with a recognised professional golf association and who is practising as a Tournament or Golf Professional.

Country Member, being any person over the age of 20, duly elected to Country Membership whose normal place of permanent residence is more than 120km away from the Club. Country Members cannot normally hold a handicap at the Club and are entitled to full use of all Club facilities except that they may not participate in Club trophy events.

Corporate Member, being any person over the age of 20, duly elected to Corporate Membership, having been nominated by their employer, who shall be entitled to full use of all Club facilities.

Temporary Member, being any person over the age of 20, duly elected to Temporary Membership who has not been formally proposed or seconded by another member. Temporary members are entitled to full use of all Club facilities for a period of six months by which time the person must have secured a proposer and seconder and must have transferred to another permanent membership category.

Golf Professional Member, being any person registered as a Golf Professional with the Professional Golf Association, duly elected to Golf Professional Membership who shall be entitled to full use of all Club facilities.

Non-Permanent Resident Member, being any person duly elected to Non-Permanent Resident Membership who temporarily resides outside the boundaries of South Africa. Non-Permanent Resident members shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of the Club for a period not exceeding six consecutive months in any calendar year.

Absentee Member, being any member who has ceased to make use of the privileges as a member and who has elected to transfer to Absentee Membership. An Absentee Member shall not be entitled to play golf or use the facilities of the Club except as a guest. Membership may be transferred to any playing category of membership at any time.

Reciprocity Member, being a member of another Club with which a reciprocal arrangement of membership has been concluded.

Honorary Life Member, being any member who has been elected in General Meeting on recommendation of the General Committee in recognition of some special benefit or service rendered to the Club. This category of membership shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of the Club.

Life Member, being any member who has completed 50 years continuous membership, on approval of the General Committee. This category of membership shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of the Club.

Honorary Member, being any person admitted to the Club by the General Committee by reason of such person holding some public office or having conferred some special benefit to the game of golf. This category of membership shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of the Club.

25 Year Member, being any ex-Kensington Golf Club member who bought into this category of members for a period of 25 years, which expires on 30th August 2019. This category has full Club privileges. A 25 Year Member has the right to transfer, sell or bequeath membership to any other Full Member at the option of the holder. This category of membership is closed.

International Member, being any international Foreign Service executive, employee or individual who has relocated to South Africa on a temporary basis. This category of member shall be re-elected annually at the discretion of the General Committee. This category of membership shall be entitled to full use of Club facilities. This category has no voting rights.
